Biography

Dean Sewell joined Heriot-Watt University in 2001, having previously worked at the University of Warwick, University of Nottingham Medical School and an industrially sponsored nutrition research unit based in Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He has carried out the role of both Director of Sport and Exercise Science in the School  and School Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions tutor (2001-2007).

 

Research Interests

His research interests are centred on muscle and exercise metabolism and nutrient-gene interactions. He has an interest in metabolic disease.
